The Iris Club

The Iris Club takes its name from "iris," the Greek word for rainbow—a symbol of hope that emerges after the storm. Just as rainbows break through the darkest skies, The Iris Club provides a space for the children of incarcerated individuals to heal, express, and rediscover joy. Through art therapy, emotional support, and shared laughter, we help them navigate the challenges of growing up with imprisoned parents, express themselves, and simply be children. We strive to remind them that they are seen, heard, and deserving of a future filled with love and possibility. Beyond this, we have helped enrol 13+ children in primary schools, giving them a strong foundational start to their new lives.

Project Manna
Project Manna was born out of the urgent need to support prisoners' families and migrant labourers during the COVID-19 crisis. As lockdowns cut off livelihoods and access to basic necessities, we provided nutritious meals and essential supplies to those left most vulnerable. Beyond emergency relief, we committed to long-term support, ensuring that 6 families received monthly grocery rations for 8 months, offering them stability in an uncertain time. Project Manna was more than a food drive—it was a testament to the power of compassion and the belief that no one should go hungry in times of crisis.

Project Sparsh

Project Sparsh is PABI’s initiative to bring compassionate healthcare and dignity to incarcerated individuals. Through biannual medical camps, we provide essential health checkups, treatments, and consultations to ensure prisoners receive the care they deserve. Recognizing the unique challenges incarcerated women face, we also conduct female hygiene education programs and distribute sanitary pads, fostering awareness, dignity, and better health. More than medical aid this project is a reminder that even behind bars, every individual deserves care, respect, and the right to good health.

The Navamarg Collective

The Navamarg Collective is–just as the name illustrates–a group of formerly incarcerated women who have committed to turning a new leaf and embarking on a journey of dignity and independence. PABI helps to empower them in this journey by providing the tools to rebuild their lives. By providing training in sewing, tailoring, and beauty services, we have helped women gain stable employment, achieve financial independence, and break free from the cycle of crime. The Navamarg Collective is a movement toward self-sufficiency and second chances, proving that a new path is always possible.
